Hello, and welcome to my Zen space! This is the place I talk about creating a warm and cozy (koselig- Norwegian for cozy) home, homemaking ideas, and my love for peace and harmony with life. My goal is to create a home that is cozy and inviting for my family, a place they feel safe, happy, and loved. Pull up a chair and sit a spell, let's have some chi tea latte and relax while you peruse …
I am a self-taught blogger. That is something I am constantly learning about. I love to create beautiful things that are upcycled clothing, interiors, and jewelry, and much more. I am a mom, grandma and I also garden, cook do photography an artist and tech-nerd at heart.
I am passionate about life. I love being out in nature and hear the wind in the trees and the birds chirping. I try to bring nature into everything that I do. I want to share my adventures with you whether they are related to the outdoors or they are related to styling your home or your wardrobe. I hope to inspire you to try, create, and succeed in whatever you try.
I have started Glamping (in a tent). It has been a long time since I last camped. I know some people don't think this is camping but, I feel you need to make it your own experience and enjoy it as the adventure that it is. This is an exciting way to be out in nature and be comfortable. I hope you come along and enjoy the journey with me! There is a lot you can do in your life, every small thing is important, you just have to be willing to go out and preserve and pay it forward. Life deserves to be lived to the fullest! I am a wearable art clothing, accessory, and costume designer and have been creating most of my life. It is the process of creating that intrigues me the most, using my talents I hope to evoke emotions in myself and to those around me.
The inspirations for everything that I do are found from everything around me. From the places I have traveled and the interesting people that I have met. Some of my ideas even come from history, art, and even from nature.
My journey as a creative person has grown over the years and continues to evolve in my creations. I like to create items that tell a story. Combined with my passion for creating I can bring together and create unique items for the home, yard, and apparel. The freedom to create something that utilizes any material I find so intriguing. To be able to use sewing, machine embroidery, art techniques, refinishing furniture with a mixture of mediums to create an artwork concept piece that someone will wear or use one day are tremendous.
My passion is the hunt to find interesting textiles, buttons, furniture, and upcycleable items, new and old that can be used in creating something useable, sustainable, and beautiful for someone to cherish. The colors, textures, and feel of fabrics are an experience that I love. My goal is to create Eco-friendly, re-purposed materials for a new life for someone else to appreciate.
